All about Bees...
As part of our programme of promotion, the Fleet Beekeepers Association engages with schools and clubs in the area to provide information and instruction about bees and beekeeping. You will also find us represented at various local shows throughout the summer - please look at News and Events for dates.

In an educational setting, the subject of bees encompasses a large range of subjects, including science (mini-beasts), environmental studies, art work, writing/literacy, healthy eating and many more. Bees are a pivotal part of the ecology and of the countryside. It is vital that we all understand the importance and value these insects play in our lives. The subject is enjoyed by students of all ages.

How about a school visit?
Experienced and approved speakers can visit schools to explain bees and beekeeping to any Key Stage in the National Curriculum. We have a good selection of books, DVD's presentations and other teaching resources.

Would you like a beekeeper to visit your club?
Talks can be arranged for all ages and interested groups (for example - Cubs, Brownies, Guides, Gardeners, Natural History, WI, Young Farmers and others). By arrangement, we can deliver a talk with slides, beekeeping equipment and information relevant to your group.
